What happens when you give an old book a new cover?

You might get a new audience if you can make that book relate to some kind of best seller. To Lure ‘Twilight’ Teenagers, Classic Books Get Bold Looks

I’m really glad to see it happen. When I was a teen, they put glossy photos on these same books and I read them to find some really good stories. Hoping this works with another set of teen readers.

  1. I’d love Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice no matter what cover they had on them, but it is a good idea to give them a re-vamp x

  2. I emailed their publicity to see if I could get a poster of these covers for my high school classroom. They’re just so pretty and I think my teens might notice them!

  3. As a teen and a fan of YA I actually really like the old fashioned covers, but if these new ones get more people to read the books then I’m totally for the revamp!

  4. I do think it’s about getting new readers to read these great books. I remember as a teenager that books really were my best friends. Maybe that’s sad, but I could so relate to Jane in ways I couldn’t relate to real people.

Cassie, please let me know if you were successful in getting that poster.
