TC (bless his heart) was thinking about moving his blog to the hinterlands.
Now I came from there and I was disappointed here on WordPress that I couldn’t insert somethings in my posts like slideshare or photobucket slide shows because they are javascript based. š¦ Really big disappointment there. BUT
One of the things I really, really like is the blog surfer. I can subscribe to other blogs that are on WP and set the length of days for them to go back. I’ve got mine set at 7.
Why 7? you ask. All those blogs are also set on google reader too. There I get to read them once and then they disappear. Now if I can remember who wrote a particular post, I can go back and find it, but if I can’t, I’m up a creek. All the subscriptions keep coming up on blog surfer. They don’t archive when I read them. They stay put. I can see the pictures and the videos that sometimes don’t show up on a reader. The posts are full texts. AND I get to see your little picture with them š
So, what is a feature you really like about WordPress?
One of my favorite things about WP is the commenting. When Nick first suggested I switch to WP from Blogger, this was a primary reason. There are a number of Blogger blogs that I would often comment on if not for the hoops you have to jump through. I also like how I can keep up with the comments I’ve made via My Comments on the dashboard. Oh yeah, I find inserting hyperlinks much easier, too.
I’m with Jason there; the commenting is the best.
I like the commenting too. AND I love that page where your comments and following comments are cached.
I hate commenting on Blogger blogs. I do it, but it’s not as easy. Hoop jumping is accurate.
Bitsy, yeah, them widgets. But I’m glad I stayed.
