I’m getting my Masters of Library Science online. I’d narrowed the MLS down to two schools. One that had a face-to-face cohort and this online program. Both had advantages and disadvantages. The lack of real human contact in the online was it’s greatest drawback.
BUT for this course, the prof put us in geographical groups for work and asked us to meet in person if possible. We met this last Wednesday night and he met with us! It was great to see the people, hear the discussion, put faces and voices to words.
Very nice idea even though it was a strain on everyone I know to get to a central location.
