Men, television, and sportsmania

I can hear the television in the background. Football. Someone just lost 2 yards.

Over the holidays I was reminded of a noisy tradition – one that I dearly miss. Games on multiple televisions in multiple rooms with the boys hopping from one game to another. Sometimes they’d stand, sometimes they’d sit. Fingernails would be chewed. Hollering. Always hollering. Complaining, griping, yelling at coaches.

Carolina just . . .

Did you see that score?

I can’t believe that play!

Get in here! You’ve got to see this!

What does he think he’s doing?

Well, it’s much quieter now . . . I miss the noise.
